Born out of the ashes of RAGxit, USC Batch Project is part of USP's very own freshmen orientation programme, which aims to engage the community and to give back to them. This year, the theme for Batch Project is: Our Hidden Heroes.
Through this year's Batch Project, we hope for freshmen to get to know some of the strengths and potential of people in our community while having fun and bonding with their batchmates. Some of the people we have engaged with are the cleaners working within NUS in the engineering faculty, as well as people with disabilities.
This blog will showcase some of the activities we have conducted with our communities, their stories, as well as some reflections our freshmen have after interacting with our communities.
Lastly, a shoutout to SUNDAC! SUNDAC is one of our main communities, aiming to provide support for people with disabilities and their caregivers. They also aim to raise awareness about the strengths and potential people with disabilities have, as well as some of the accessibility gaps today's infrastructure might have in allowing people with disabilities to reach their fullest potential.
We hope that this blog will serve as a form of recognition and appreciation of our community, as well as a form of documentation of the meaningful work that our freshmen have worked together to complete.
